SSD prepares to launch PowerSchool Parent Portal on Friday, schedules orientation sessions for parents
The Starkville School District is preparing to launch Power School, SSD's new online student information system for grades, homework, discipline, and attendance.
In order for parents to access their child's information, each parent must obtain a login. You may pick up your child's access code beginning Friday, September 13, at your child's school, or you may attend a parent orientation session scheduled for next week to obtain your login information. SSD will also demo Power School Parent Portal features and options during the orientation sessions. Please bring proper identification, such as a driver's license, to pick up your child's login information. Login information CANNOT be provided over the phone. If you do not attend an orientation session, you must come to your child's school to pick up your child's information.
Parents who have multiple children attending more than one school in the Starkville School District only need to attend one orientation session.
Power School Parent Portal Orientation Sessions:
The orientation process will take about 15 minutes. Parents may come and go at the time most convenient for them during the two hour period.
Parents will be assisted by SSD's technology specialists and other employees experienced with Power School during the orientation process.
Parents who cannot attend an orientation session may view these videos online:
