Office hours - Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 - 4:30 during the regular school year or  8:00 - 4:00 during the summer

The fingerprinting fee for new employees and substitutes is $36.00 (exact cash only) to cover the processing of necessary reports. 

Fingerprinting is done on Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 – 11:30 and 2:00 – 4:00pm

All new substitutes must have at least 48 hours of college credit and 3 returned references for an application to be active.  

An official transcript showing 48 semester hours at an institution of higher learning or an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree of WorkKeys must be scanned into the application.

DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY-CENTERED PROGRAMS 

Families Strengthening Families Project:  Childcare Provider

Preschool Coordinator (FT, 12 month)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early child development, elementary education, administration or related area; 5 years of early childhood experience, preferably in administration/ management; experience in supervising staff; demonstrated leadership ability; excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of sound early childhood principles.Preferred: A valid Mississippi license with endorsement in Administration.

Family Centered Programs' 21st CCLC: Transformers project
Position: After School Enrichment Teachers (part-time, multiple positions)
 
Responsibilities: Provide enrichment learning opportunities for children grades 3-8.  Enrichment may include crafts, arts (e.g. drama, music, dance), clubs (e.g. chess, book, computer, etc.), fitness, etc.

Qualifications:  Skilled in the area of enrichment and experience teaching the skill to others, especially children and youth.  Strong interpersonal skills.


EXTENDED DAY AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Extended Day Program is building a pool of applicants for the 2013-2014 school year. 

GENERAL INFO:  Part-time job requiring supervision of children (grades K - 5th) during after-school enrichment activities such as homework assistance, games, art activities, playground activities, skating, etc.  The program is located at Overstreet School.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Prefer Elementary Education majors or individuals with prior experience supervising children (scouts, church activities, YMCA, sports, day care facility, etc.).  You MUST BE available to work MON - FRI between 2:45 - 5:15 PM.

HOURLY WAGES:  7.25 per hour NOTE:  You will be contacted by PHONE if you are selected for an interview.

After School Teacher (part-time, multiple positions):

Responsibilities: Provide academic tutorial and enrichment instruction for children grades 3-8.

Qualifications:  Mississippi teacher license. Successful teaching experience. Strong interpersonal skills.
